Description
After settling on a property on the north side of Golden, Jason Stengl and Brian Hutchinson wanted their brewery’s name to reflect the hometown they loved. After doing some research they learned that the original name for the majestic Clear Creek that runs through the center of Golden was Cannonball Creek. The historical significance paired with the duo’s love for the iconic Cannonball made the decision a no-brainer and Cannonball Creek Brewing Company was born.
Cannonball Creek focuses on clean, traditional styles. You will often find multiple (clear) IPAs, lagers, and some Belgian styles on the menu. Their fun with names doesn’t stop with the brewery name, but continues on to their beers with “Trump Hands”, their session IPA, and “Netflix and Pils”, their German-style pilsner lager, being two of the most clever. They stand out among breweries in Colorado for having won at least one medal at GABF every year they have been open.
