Gone but Not Forgotten 2025

December 26, 2025 by Stephen Adams

There were 44* Colorado brewery taprooms that had to close for various reasons in 2025.

*Notes: There were 30 unique brewery closings. The other 14 were either additional locations of these breweries or an additional location of a brewery that remains open.

The following list of breweries is a tribute to those that are Gone But Not Forgotten.

Incantation Brewing (Aurora): 30-Apr-21 – 25-Jan-25
Incantation Brewing Taproom (Denver): 03-Aug-24 – 25-Jan-2

Incantation Brewing started as Jade Mountain Brewery but rebranded in 2024 in hopes of stirring up business.
Their closing announcement…
It’s time to say goodbye.
From humble beginnings all those years ago in that small teahouse in Huzhou, to the brewery I always dreamed of in Aurora. I shared my life in liquid form will all of you through Jade Mountain and Incantation. But now it’s time for us to close the doors.
We fought hard to keep things going, we just couldn’t make it.
I appreciate each and every one of you for helping me realize this crazy dream of mine.
We’re closing both the Aurora brewery and the Alameda coffee shop & taproom. Our final days will be this coming Friday & Saturday 1/24 and 1/25.
Come join us at our Alameda location this weekend and have one last party with us!
Hope to see you all there!
Cheers friends!

Colorado Boy Southwest Pub (Ouray): 10-Jun-19 – 01-Feb-25

Colorado Boy had a brew pub taproom in Ouray. The Colorado Boy original location in Ridgeway, their production brewery taproom, and their Montrose pizzeria remains open.

Altitude Brewing & Supply (Denver): 01-Oct-19 – 01-Feb-25

Sadly, the owner/brewer of Altitude Brewing & Supply (brewery plus homebrew store) passed away in early 2025, leading to their closure.

Guanella Pass Brewing Company (Georgetown): 26-May-17 – 02-Feb-25
Guanella Pass Empire Taproom (Empire): 27-Apr-20 – 02-Feb-25

Guanella Pass Brewery was the first brewery in Georgetown and offered respite for folks weary of the parking lot known as I-70 as well as those traveling over – appropriately enough – Guanella Pass. They also had a taphouse in the old Hard Rock Cafe in Empire in April 2020.

Their closing announcement…

It’s time to say goodbye. The saloon and Guanella Pass Brewery will close Sunday 2/2 at the end of business. Thank you for your support during this wonderful journey. Look forward to seeing you during these last remaining days.

Dewey Beer Denver (Denver): 25-Jan-24 – 09-Feb-25

Dewey Beer, based out of Connecticut (and still open there), briefly took over the spot of Mockery Brewing in west RiNo.

Kannah Creek: Edgewater Brewery (Grand Junction): 01-May-13 – 22-Feb-25

While Kannah Creek’s original location is still open. They closed their newer and larger facility and sold it to WestCo Brewing.

T Road Brewing Company (Crestone): 08-Oct-22 – 01-Mar-25

While T Road only made very small batches which often ran out quickly, the small town of Crestone was a great destination location for a brewery! It was a lively spot often featuring live music.

Halfpenny Brewing (Centennial): 24-Feb-16 – 29-Mar-25

Their closing announcement…

To all of our Halfpenny friends & family,
We’ve had an incredible time for the past almost 10 years! When we started, our goal was to share our passion for beer, and bring some of the community and togetherness from German gasthauses and English pubs to Centennial, and we feel like we’ve been successful in that respect. We’ve seen first introductions that have turned into lasting friendships and helped celebrate births, birthdays, awards, graduations, retirements and weddings. We hope that all of you have your own special recollections of your time here.
Unfortunately, the time has come to bid you all farewell, at least as far as Halfpenny itself goes. As you may know, our lease is up shortly and we have made the difficult decision to close the taproom so that we can focus on selling the equipment and getting everything wrapped up. We are profoundly grateful for the unwavering support that all of you (and especially our wonderful mug club members) have shown us over the years, and we will treasure the lasting friendships and memories. We also specifically want to thank all of our incredible beertenders, brewers, event hosts, food trucks, musicians, artists, and everyone else who has helped us to create and maintain the Halfpenny community over almost a decade.
Our last day open will be Saturday, March 29, and we’d love to see everyone one together one last time to remember the good times!
We hope you will all come out over our final few days to join us for one last beer or two! Cheers!

Blue Moon Brewing (Denver): 16-Jul-16 – 29-Mar-25

While the original brewing location of Blue Moon at the Sandlot is still open (only on Rockies game days), Molson Coors shut down the huge brew pub after divesting much of their craft brands such as AC Golden.

Avalanche Brewing Company (Silverton): 01-Jan-12 – 30-Mar-25

Avalanche Brewing started as the Avalanche Cafe in the mid-1990s and was converted into a brewery in 2012 by the current owners and moved to their current location in 2019. The business was sold earlier this year and officially closed at the end of March. Reuben M. Schafir of the Durango Herald covered their history and closure:

Silverton’s Avalanche Brewing is celebrating its final weekend before closure

FlyteCo Brewing (Denver): 02-Mar-19 – 05-Apr-25

FlyteCo closed their original location off of Tennyson St in favor of the FlyteCo Tower: the old Stapleton Airport Tower.

Their closing announcement…

Six years ago, three friends took a major leap and opened FlyteCo Brewing off Tennyson Street in a dusty old electric plant building. Since then, we’ve hosted countless family gatherings, baby showers, trivia and open mic nights, yoga and craft workshops, and more that entrenched us in the neighborhood. You all have always made it feel like home.
Come April, we are completely moving our operations to our second location, FlyteCo Tower in Central Park in the former Stapleton Air Traffic control tower. It’s bittersweet, but the right move for the future of FlyteCo. Since opening FlyteCo Tower in 2022, it’s taken on a life of its own. We’ve added a coffee shop on the first floor, Over Flyte on the third floor, and even were able to reinstate tower tours. We happily have our hands full.
We’ll be having a blowout “aloha” party on April 5th at our OG location – the last day of operations on Tennyson – saying goodbye to old chapters and hello to new chapters. Thank you all for the memories, here’s to the next chapter and hope to see you at the Tower.

Beyond The Mountain Brewing (Boulder): 09-Dec-17 – 27-Apr-25

MainStage Brewing, who brewed their beers at Beyond The Mountain, took over this location.
Their closing announcement…
To our Beyond The Mountain family,
It has been amazing 7 years for us here in Gunbarrel. This brewery has been the culmination of a dream we’ve had since we were homebrewing together in college over 15 years ago. But the time has come where we have decided to move on to our next adventures. Beyond the Mountain Brewing’s final day will be April 27th. We have an entire weekend of celebration planned and we cant wait to share the details with the you in the coming days. We want to thank every single person who has helped us live our dream: from our dedicated staff, to the many customers we’ve had over the years, to the bands and artists who have made the taproom a special place. We could not have done this without every one of you.
But what does the future hold? We are excited to announce that our good friends at Mainstage Brewing will be taking over the space here. We have worked with them very closely for years now and know that they are the perfect people to continue the culture and spirit that we have developed in our taproom. Once the taproom reopens under their guidance you can expect to see the same weekly events you have come to know. Trivia Mondays, bluegrass pick Wednesdays, Boulder Dead Night, and live music Saturdays won’t be going anywhere. There are no plans for staff cuts, so you will still see familiar faces when you come in. We know you will be in good hands with the Mainstage crew.
Thank you again,
Chuck and Morgan
Owners, Beyond The Mountain Brewing

Mother Tucker Brewery (Thornton): 26-May-17 – 25-May-25
Mother Tucker Brewery (Louisville): 12-Sep-19 – 11-May-25

Both spaces are becoming additional locations for Someplace Else Brewery.
Their closing announcement…
Hey Everyone
Mother Tucker and I have decided to retire. In order to facilitate our retirement, we have closed the Breweries.
We would like to thank all the wonderful people that have come in and enjoyed the Finest Beer in Thornton and the City of Thornton for hosting us.
In addition, we would like to thank all the Awesome Employees that we had over the years. We could not have done any of this without them!
Best of luck to you here in Colorado.
Peace Love Harmony

Cerveceria Colorado Taproom (Denver): 05-May-18 – 31-May-25

As part of the changes to Denver Beer Company made by Wilding Brands, they closed the Cerveceria Colorado taproom in favor of an event space called The Outpost. !Venga, the Cerveceria Colorado Mexican Lager, is still available in stores.

Burns Family Artisan Ales (Denver): 18-Aug-18 – 31-May-25

Personal Note from Stephen Adams, Colorado Beer Geek: The closing of Burns Family was a tough one for me. Upon learning that I had been to every brewery in Colorado, people would often ask which one was my favorite. Without hesitation, I would tell them it was Burns Family Artisan Ales. Besides Wayne’s creations of some of the best barrel aged beers that I have ever tasted (and I tasted many), Laura & Wayne created a space that was welcoming to everyone and made me feel like family. Thank you, Wayne & Laura!

Their closing announcement…

The fire is going out. Burns Family Artisan Ales’ last day selling beer through the taproom to the public will be May 31, 2025.
When we opened to the public on August 18, 2018, our pride was in our great service and in the quality and innovation of our beer, our brewhouse helmed by Wayne Burns, a brewer with decades of professional experience. We developed classic and experimental styles from 2.2%abv to 25.1%abv. We succeeded with our niche of barrel-aged and high-alcohol beer to an extent that we remain the 4th highest rated brewery in the state of Colorado and consistently rate within the top ten breweries nationwide for our Solar Eclipse series. We have a client base of loyalists who visit us regularly, cheerlead for us, promote us and can’t say enough good things about us (thank you!) It’s been our honor to attend prestigious invitation-only events. Wayne already had many medals to his credit from World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival before we even opened. We entered competitions and took home a bronze medal just last year for Artemesia, a barrel-aged variant of Ship Of Theseus Old Ale, for which recipe Wayne has now won 4 medals at Great American Beer Festival. We have earned an awe-factor at festivals we attend, where our lines typically well-outstrip other breweries. We are a first-stop for beer travelers from across the United States & world. When people speak of Burns Family Artisan Ales, they do so with respect and enthusiasm.
So, why leave what is seemingly a great run? It is certain that specious speculation will conjure up many reasons, and we implore you to seek the truth rather than believe in rumor. The truth of the matter is that our taproom was full only on the rarest of occasions. We needed more patrons. The most advantageous way to get the best cash flow is by selling someone a glass of beer, in your own place, over the bar. We simply didn’t have enough people visiting to enable growth.
Thank you for buying beer, for attending our events, recommending us to others. We love each & every one of you – it is not your fault that we are closing. It is not OUR fault. It’s just the way business can be.
Wayne & Laura

Metric Brewing (Colorado Springs): 21-Jul-18 – 13-Jun-25

Their closing announcement…
To our friends and community – It has been an honor to serve the Knob Hill neighborhood and Colorado Springs over the last 7 years. Unfortunately, we unexpectedly and by no choice of our own, will no longer be able to operate at our current location.
We are so proud of what we built and beyond grateful for everyone’s support. Come raise a glass with us over the next month; we’re still rolling out new beers weekly, and we’d love to see you one last time.
Stay tuned, as we hope our story is not over.

Brass Brewing Company (Colorado Springs): 22-Mar-18 – 22-Jun-25

Brass Brewing sold their location to Gunslinger Brewing.

Their closing announcement…

📣 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FROM BRASS BREWING 📣 After more than 7 incredible years of brewing beers and building friendships in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs, it’s time for a new chapter.
On June 23, Brass Brewing Company will be passing the guidon to another amazing Veteran-Owned brewery: Gunslinger Brewing Company. 🇺🇸🍻
This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the right time. We’re filled with gratitude for every moment, every pour, and every person who helped make Brass what it is. 💛
We want to say a HUGE thank you to our 700+ mug club members, our regulars, and everyone who helped us earn that 4.9 Google rating.

And in true Woody fashion…
This isn’t goodbye. It’s an Irish Goodbye. 🍀

Bodega Beer Company (Parker): 23-May-23 – 30-Jun-25

Originally opened as a Fiction Beer location in Parker, they rebranded to Bodega Beer after the original Fiction Beer changed ownership and then later stopped brewing their own beer.

Great Divide Brewing Company (Denver): 01-May-94 – 30-Jun-25
Great Divide Brewing Company Barrel Bar (Denver): 31-Jul-15 – 30-Jun-25

After being acquired by Wilding Brands, Great Divide closed their original downtown Denver location along with their west RiNo Barrel Bar.

Their legacy lives on at the Great Divide Roadhouse locations such as Great Divide Roadhouse – RiNo and Great Divide Roadhouse – Castle Rock.

Over Yonder Brewing (Golden): 20-May-19 – 20-Jul-25

Over Yonder Brewing was the closest brewery to Red Rocks Amphitheater and was known for their focus on music, especially the band Phish.

Their closing announcement…

It is with broken hearts that we announce the upcoming closure of Over Yonder.
Despite our deep desire to remain open and continue creating unique and delectable craft beer for this incredible community, we’ve reached a point where continuing operations is no longer sustainable. We explored every possible path to stay open, but unfortunately, with the challenges including doing business in an area that’s been especially tough on small, independent operators, those efforts didn’t lead to a viable solution.
This outcome is not what we want, and it’s deeply painful. Over Yonder has always been more than a brewery. It’s a place for community, music, creativity, dogs, joy, and connection. We are incredibly grateful for our staff – for their synergy, guest connections, exceptional taproom service, ideas, talents, and their passion for Over Yonder beer and the craft beer industry as a whole.
It’s difficult to imagine not being in our beloved brewhouse on a brew day, taking in the sweet smells of the grains or the fresh hop aromas while we dry-hop. We poured everything we had into making Over Yonder the extraordinary small independent artisan brewery that it is, and we are devastated.
We’re still processing the weight of this moment, and we ask for your understanding and grace as we navigate our last days. This past Saturday night, during Phish N3 Folsom, the lyric “everything’s right, so just hold tight” hit us in a whole new way. And we’re holding on to that, grateful for what we’ve shared with all of you.
To everyone who visited, supported, collaborated, or simply cheered us on: thank you. Your presence made Over Yonder what it was. It’s been an honor and a joy to build something with you.
Our taproom’s final day of being open will be July 20. We want to share in the groove with you our last Open Bluegrass Pick, trivia, live music, Phish livestreams, and our signature pre-SCI Red Rocks Shakedown Street Art Market, all within the next 11 days.
Today, we release our final new beer in true Over Yonder long-Phish-inspired-name fashion, This Has All Been Wonderful, But Now We’re On Our Way Amber.
We’d love to see you in the taproom to raise a glass, enjoy the brews, the music, the art, share memories, and celebrate what we built together.
With love and gratitude,
Over Yonder Brewing

Elevation Beer – The Office Bar (Salida): 11-Mar-24 – 27-Jul-25

Briefly open as an Elevation Beer taproom in downtown Salida. The Office Bar will reopen under new management.

Great Frontier Brewing (Lakewood): 21-Aug-15 – 31-Jul-25

This location is now home to Old 121 Brewhouse

Their closing announcement…

With heavy but grateful hearts, we will be closing Great Frontier at the end of July. We want to thank our wonderful customers and staff for your support and friendship through these ten years. You made Great Frontier a very special place! It’s been an incredible ride.

Banded Oak Brewing (Denver): 04-Jun-16 – 23-Sep-25

The owners/brewers of Banded Oak are now behind Paramount Beerwerks at The Werks in Wheat Ridge.

Their closing announcement…

Been trying to announce this for a couple weeks now hoping there would be a slow news week. Obviously, that’s a fool’s errand after all the brewery closing bombshells we’ve had lately.
So here it goes, after 10 years Banded Oak Brewing will close at the end of September. Yes, we will still be a venue for UMS, end of July, and yes we will have a big blowout Oktoberfest party in September to celebrate all the support this neighborhood has shown us. Without you guys we could not have made it and we are so grateful for all the parties and memories that Broadway has given us. We love you guys and cheers to having a great last couple months.
This photo was taken 10 years ago the day before we opened Banded Oak. Time flys!!

Wild Sky Brewery (Littleton): 22-Oct-24 – 02-Oct-25

Wild Sky Brewery took over both locations of Blue Spruce Brewing in 2024. The Wild Sky Centennial location remains open.

Their closing announcement…

Many of you know some of the story of why we’re here and why we’re Wild.
It started with a past life as another brewery. Our ownership saw the need for new life, to change our possibilities, to grow, to find a new place, in community and collaboration.
We left no stone unturned when we decided the name of this new chapter. To speak to the beauty of Colorado but also not confined to anything specific. To give the space for creativity, where we might reclaim our passions. And to share our joys of creating and of service.
We became Wild Sky.
With all the balls and chains of past debts, and heavy rent, we forged forward with the hope this new life could vault us past these obstacles.
Littleton, if you made it there, was our bigger space, enough that we turned some of it into 2 pickleball courts, and still, the room for our brewery, arcade, dining areas, large patio and kitchen. We put our energy into updating the space in the dining room, cozy lighting, recycled wood walls, we breathed new life into our space. The kitchen, reborn as a pizza shop, and at the heart: beer produced with Colorado ingredients.
We saw happy faces enjoying the space and enjoying our work in the brewery and kitchen. New and old, and brewery friends dinking around on the pickleball courts. We felt we were on the right path, and had made all the changes to reinvigorate the brewery. But the heavy burden of rent, on a space perhaps too large for our needs, forced us to make the difficult decision to close our chapter at Wild Sky – Littleton.
Littleton was a special place, an open sandbox for our creatives. We poured our love into it and maintained every hope that we could continue as a fun and welcoming space for our community in Littleton.
We’ve learned a lot, and will miss everything we had at Littleton, all of our friends and guests. And all the Wild times we had.
Through tears and big hugs we’ve found we are strong, and we will continue to be Wild.
Because home is whenever we are with you.
Come see some faces you might know from Littleton at County Line!
We are grateful for the opportunity, excited for new possibilities and ready for the road ahead.
All of our love.
– Wild Sky

Grand Adventure Brewing (Kremmling): 04-May-18 – 03-Oct-25

While this location remains open under this name and no official announcement has been made, it has been reported that Grand Adventure has stopped brewing their own beer.

Raices Brewing Company (Denver): 29-Sep-19 – 08-Oct-25

Their closing announcement…

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must say adiós. We tried to hang in there for as long as we could, for you, our employees, partners and everyone in between, and for La Cultura.
Thank you for allowing us to create and build community with so many of you. We hope you enjoyed our concept and found a home with us. Please continue to support other small businesses, bars, breweries, cultural and community concepts that are navigating these rough times. And, of course, support each other. We’ll miss you.

Very Nice Brewing Co. (Nederland): 01-Oct-12 – 09-Oct-25

This was the most abrupt “closing” of the year, including for the owners when, tragically, the original location of Very Nice Brewing in Nederland burned completely to the ground. The Very Nice Brewing Gilpen County location remains open.

Their announcement of the loss of their brewery…

Today has been an exceptionally challenging day for The Very Nice Brewing Company.
Thankfully, no human lives were lost. However, it is heartbreaking to report that two kitties, all the animals at Wild Bear, and the birds that greeted me in the early mornings perished in the fire. Our hearts are heavy for these creatures. Life is precious, and pets are family. Losing them, along with the owner’s livelihood, is an immense burden on top of an already immense burden.
We are profoundly grateful to the firefighters and first responders who protected the town and the remains of the shopping center. We are also thankful that high winds were not an additional challenge. Tadasana and Diana have reminded us all to hold onto the things we are grateful for during this time of grief.
The future is uncertain, as the Nederland facility was our winter lifeline, especially since we are not yet fully established in Gilpin, and winters here are harsh. We are deeply thankful for our Gilpin location. Please keep in mind that most businesses in the shopping center currently have no immediate place to go. Employees and business owners alike are at the mercy of fate. Despite the confusion about the next steps, eventually we intend to use the Gilpin location creatively to support neighboring businesses and their employees who have lost everything. We encourage others to do the same.
I’ve heard the phrase “Ned Strong,” but honestly, I don’t feel strong right now. Your hugs and well-wishes are immensely appreciated and help in ways I hadn’t fully understood they could. We’ve never had anything like this happen before.
Please forgive us if we don’t respond immediately. We are disoriented, and nothing makes sense. We were about to celebrate our 13 years in Nederland, and now it’s all gone—wiped away in a single night.

Never Summer Brewing (Granby): 13-Apr-16 – 18-Oct-25

Their closing announcement…

Sorry to announce it, but Never Summer Brewing Co. is closing for good or at the very least for a a few years. I’m not closing because I have to, but because this brewer is retiring. I know this will disappoint a lot of people! So sorry about that but, i’m not getting any younger and it’s a big world out there, and I will be out there exploring it. There is no guarantee that I will reopen in a few years but I’m keeping my options open, so don’t hold your breath.
Thanks to all that have supported me,and Never Summer through the years. I will be thinking about all of you as I travel.
The Official closing date will be Saturday October 18th I will be serving discounted beer, and there will be music with the local Band “Jazzamatazz” featuring Jazz and Funk Music.Music starts at 6:30 pm Even if you don’t like jazz they are a very entertaining act, and are all very accomplished musicians. More details on that soon!
So come on out on Sat. Oct. 18th and help celebrate the end of an era.
Hope to see you there! Cheers!

The Horse and Frog Brewery (Holyoke): 28-Jun-24 – 27-Oct-25

While the Horse & Frog remains open as a brewpub, they are no longer make their own beer.
Their “closing” announcement…
As of October 27, 2025, Jon and Amy will be stepping away from their roles in the team behind The Horse and Frog here in Holyoke, CO. We truly appreciate everything they’ve brought to the table and wish them nothing but the best in what’s next.
🍻 Going forward, we want to let everyone know that we will not be brewing on-site. But don’t worry – we’re still 100% committed to creating a great family friendly bar atmosphere with the best quality beers, drinks and food available! Our team is excited for what’s ahead, and we’re looking forward to this next chapter for the bar. Thanks for being part of the journey!

Spare Keg Brewerks Creede Taproom (Creede): 02-Jul-20 – 30-Oct-25

Spare Keg Brewerks experienced quite a few changes this year with the opening of the Herks Werks Taproom in Poncha Springs, the acquisition of the 14er Brewing brand, and the quiet closing of their Creede Taproom in October. Their original location in Alamosa along with the Herks Werks Taproom in Poncha Springs remains open.

Personal note from Dev Adams, Miss Lupulin: my last visit to Spare Keg Creede was September 2024, for the wedding of Spare Keg co-founder, Mark Martinez. In June of this year, Mark suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at age 36. He was a great brewer, huge advocate for craft beer and the southern Colorado community, and, most importantly, an incredible friend and human. He is deeply missed.

Funkwerks Taproom (Fort Collins): 01-Dec-10 – 01-Nov-25

As part of the changes brought about by Wilding Brands, Funkwerks closed their Fort Collins Taproom. Some of their beers remain available at stores.

After 15 years of brewing bold, award-winning beers in Fort Collins, Funkwerks will be closing our taproom doors. But don’t worry—this isn’t goodbye. You’ll still be able to enjoy our saisons, sours, and fan favorites on shelves and taps throughout the Front Range.
Thank you for 15 years of memories, community, and incredible beer. Here’s to many more pours together!

Copper Club Brewing Co. (Fruita): 01-Dec-12 – 02-Nov-25

After 13 years as a brewery, Copper Club stopped brewing their own beer and become Fruita Tavern.
Their “closing” announcement…
We are shutting down the brewery and re-licensing as a tavern! Fruita Tavern will basically be the same as Copper Club, but with different delicious craft beers. So come and get your favorite Copper Club beers while you can! Jason is bottling next week so you can stock up!
Thank you all for the great times and support over the past 13 years and we hope to see you for our next chapter as Fruita Tavern!

Rocks & Hops Brewing (Boulder): 23-Jul-23 – 02-Nov-25

Their closing announcement…

We are sad to announce that this will be our last weekend with the taproom open. We have appreciated all the support and love and friendships that we’ve developed brewing and serving beer in Boulder. We love you all & this incredible brewing community. Cheers!

Big Beaver Brewing Company (Loveland): 01-Oct-10 – 30-Nov-25

Their closing announcement…
It’s with a heavy heart we make this announcement.
We will be closing our doors permanently on the 30th.
We thank everyone for the past 15 years of good times, bad jokes and great beer.
We had a good run but it’s time to move on to something new.
We will see you on the other side of the bar.
Cheers!!!!

Sanitas Brewing Company (Boulder): 01-Sep-13 – 20-Dec-25
Sanitas Brewing II (Englewood): 23-Jun-23 – 19-Dec-25
Sanitas Brewing III (Lafayette): 10-Aug-24 – 18-Dec-25

Their closing announcement…
To anyone who has ever had a beer from Sanitas Brewing Company or just enjoyed time with loved ones on our patios, thank you. We have come to the very tough decision to close Sanitas Brewing Company. Our goal is to remain open until December 20th, 2025.
It is no secret that the state of the craft beer industry is proving to be difficult to sustain a business in and Sanitas is facing that reality too. One of Sanitas’ primary values is “Do The Right Thing x 4” – that is 4 for; our community, our customers, ourselves and our company. Please trust that closing is the right, albeit bittersweet, thing now.
Creating opportunities for communal experiences with friends and family, paired with a decent brew, is what Sanitas was founded on. And since 2013, we truly lived that commitment, providing spaces for good times, good people and craft beers in three locations; Boulder, Englewood and Lafayette. Sanitas beer was consumed in homes all over the world, and we even took home a few medals. But our favorite moments were the ones we shared with all of you.
Thank you to our amazing employees – our people are what made Sanitas. Without you all, we wouldn’t have been Sanitas Brewing Company.

Thank you to our Good People, investors, partners – @tacosupply @bonacoffeeroasters @c_burgerco @atlascoffees – and suppliers for your unwavering support.
Thank you to our friends – for bellying up to both sides of the bar at one point or another.

Finally and most importantly, thank you to our incredible families. Your love and support is immeasurably appreciated. You stood by our sides while we chased dreams and you buckled up for the adventure of a lifetime. This ride has not been easy, but we had a lot of fun, and did something together that matters! Thank you!
Now, we invite you to come celebrate the end of an era with us! Please visit a taproom in the next few weeks for a final cheers or two or three!
Whole-heartedly, thank you.
Michael, Chris, Zach & the entire Sanitas Family

Trinity Brewing Co. (Colorado Springs): 01-Aug-08 – 21-Dec-25
Trinity Brewing – Forge Road Brewery (Colorado Springs): 17-Mar-22 – 14-Nov-25

Their closing announcement…

Some very BIG plans and BIGGER modifications to our facility are planned for the coming months, all with designs on improving and increasing the craft beer and craft food presence in Colorado Springs.
